How do you feel when you get feedback?

Think back to the last time you got serious critical feedback on something. This can be on your performance, on the way you are treating your friends, how you are being at home, work you are doing at your job or at school. And it could have come from anyone: your friends, siblings, parents, coach or teachers. It can be tough, right? How did you feel about it? 

  • Think about what happens to you when you receive critical feedback.
  • Do you get defensive, ashamed or even a little hurt, because you feel it’s proof of failure? 
  • Or do you embrace the feedback as a tool for personal development? 
  • And depending on your answer here, do you like the way you respond to feedback?
